The Mission Position is a popular independent comedy showcase, hosted by two of San Francisco’s most accomplished comedians – Adrian McNair & Irene Tu. The Mission Position welcomes a new lineup of special guests every month that include the Bay Area’s brightest comics alongside nationally touring headliners from NBC, TBS, E! and Comedy Central.
Chris Riggins has taken the art of stand up comedy and chose to stand out amongst a sea of other talented artists. From producing unique shows such as the Outdoor Comedy Club, opening for Dave Chappelle his first time on stage, to featuring and headlining at major clubs and colleges throughout the United States, the sky is truly the limit for Chris. While a unique take on growing up in the Bay Area and finding humor in the struggle are the centerpiece of Chris’ act, he is relatable to people from all walks of life. While many comics can make you laugh, few can make you reflect humorously on life experiences the way that Chris does.
Stroy Moyd is a 27 year old comedian from Oakland, CA. He’s opened for the likes of Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan, the Wayans Brothers, Hannibal Burress and more. He is a 3 time winner of the Fresh Faces Comedy Competition at the LaughFactory in Hollywood, CA and can be seen at the SF SketchFest in 2013 and numerous comedy festivals around the country. Stroy runs an independent comedy production company called #HellaFunny where he and fellow comedy comrades produce live comedy shows around the Bay Area. His style of comedy can be described as eccentric, assumption shattering mixed with a hint of story telling.
Jane Harrison is a writer and comedian from Atlanta. She hasn’t told you that she’s from Atlanta yet? Well she will and she is. As a millennial, she is deeply inspired by her own 23 years of living experience and the hardships she’s faced as a middle class white woman. Texting is hard right? Her comedy explores topics including poop and how truly beautiful and mysterious human relationships can be. She has been called a wunderkid, by her mother, who supports her but really would prefer she not tell jokes that include family secrets. Laughspin once called her “a comedian.”
