The Mission Position is a popular independent comedy showcase, hosted by five of San Francisco’s most accomplished comedians – Matt Lieb, Kate Willett, Jessica Sele, Richard Toomer & Torio Van Grol. Every Thursday, audiences fill Lost Weekend Video’s famous CineCave comedy den, for a show that provides club-level talent without irritating drink minimums or filler comics. The Mission Position welcomes a new lineup of special guests every week that include the Bay Area’s brightest comics alongside nationally touring headliners from NBC, TBS, E! and Comedy Central.

Tushar Singh has been performing comedy since 2004. He has performed at the top clubs New York City, including the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Broadway Comedy, Stand-Up NY, Laugh Lounge NY, Gotham Comedy Club and The Comedy Cellar. In true South Asian form, he begrudgingly works as an engineer during the day. His anecdotal-style comedy attempts to make sense of the cultural disconnects experienced by first-generation Asian-Americans.
Described by a college freshman in a student newspaper review as “kind of prepared but unprepared at the same time,” Johan Miranda has performed in SF Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Small Town Comedy Festival, 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival, & North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. Johan currently resides in Los Angeles where he is a co-producer & regular performer at the Chatterbox Comedy Night, which was recently named by Timeout Los Angeles as one of the “3 unconventional stand-up comedy shows you need to see now.”
Joon is currently based in New York working as an Editor for HuffPost Live. Joon is also a director/editor for the Peoples Improv Theater (PIT) video sketch team, “Waterbirth.”
Comedian Andrew Holmgren embodies a rare combination of humility and good looks rarely seen before on this planet. The laid-back jokester performs with a certain reverence for irreverence and his succinct, clever sense of humor has caused people to call him a smart-ass more times than he cares to remember. Holmgren comes to party, based out of San Francisco, he was named one of 2013’s “comics to watch” by SF Weekly and was named “Best Comedian” in 2014 by the same publication. Andrew produces the popular San Francisco comedy showcase ‘Get Yucked Up’, he performs all over the country and has appeared at SF Sketchfest, Savage Henry Comedy Festival and The Sacramento Comedy Fest, where he was named best visiting comedian. I’d buy him a beer if I were you. He’s also got great hair.
