The Mission Position is a popular independent comedy showcase, hosted by four of San Francisco’s most accomplished comedians – Matt Lieb, Kate Willett, Trevor Hill and Jessica Sele. Every Thursday, audiences fill Lost Weekend Video’s famous CineCave comedy den, for a show that provides club-level talent without irritating drink minimums or filler comics. The Mission Position welcomes a new lineup of special guests every week that include the Bay Area’s brightest comics alongside nationally touring headliners from NBC, TBS, E! and Comedy Central.

Stroy Moyd is a 27 year old comedian from Oakland, CA. He’s opened for the likes of Dave Chappelle, Tracy Morgan, the Wayans Brothers, Hannibal Burress and more. He is a 3 time winner of the Fresh Faces Comedy Competition at the LaughFactory in Hollywood, CA and can be seen at the SF SketchFest in 2013 and numerous comedy festivals around the country. Stroy runs an independent comedy production company called #HellaFunny where he and fellow comedy comrades produce live comedy shows around the Bay Area. His style of comedy can be described as eccentric, assumption shattering mixed with a hint of story telling.
After surviving a brain tumor and failing out of college, Matty Goldberg began his comedy career in 2001. Before making his move from New York to Los Angeles, Matty appeared on BET and starred in an online advertising campaign for Converse called “Out of Your League Guy;” where he inspired kids to go for their dreams, while simultaneously creeping out girls all over the globe.
When Matty is not acting, he is performing stand-up everywhere and anywhere people want to laugh. His upcoming memoir is highly anticipated and starts with the diagnosis of his tumor to the death of his best friend in life and in comedy a little over a year ago. Matty gives an honest portrayal of starting out in the New York comedy scene to finding the meaning of life through the odd ball characters he has met along the way.
Stefani Silverman is a San Francisco based comic dedicated to finding meaning in life through humor.
A former attorney, she uses her hard earned critical thinking skills to talk about such complex topics as food, sex and things she sees on the sidewalk. Mostly observational, increasingly self revelatory, Stefani’s comedy will get you laughing and keep you thinking.
She has performed at Cobb’s on the monthly showcase, with Comedians at Law on San Francisco’s famous Comedy Day and is a regular at the Sunday New Talent Show case at the SF Punchline. She has produced and hosted the local showcases, The Comikaze Lounge, Tickled Pink! and Blush! Comedy.
She is available for all sorts of gigs – her comedy lends itself to everything from the dark drunk environment of the club and bar scene – to day time corporate and community events.
