Rachel Lark is a genre-killing songwriter and musician of small stature and epic proportions. A pioneering rock star who defies classification, her music is consistently staggering in its realness and unrelenting in its power. She’s made a name for herself as the musical muse of San Francisco’s sex counterculture, creating songs that blend sex-positive messages with bawdy humor to create an irresistible and timely perspective. Her ukulele tunes about sex and relationships have been featured on The Savage Lovecast, Bawdy Storytelling, Kinky Salon, and Margaret Cho’s #BeRobin performances. She has also showcased her electronic-inspired live-looping set at many bay area venues such as Boom Boom Room and The New Parish, recently opening for live-looping legend, Zach Deputy.
In March 2014 she released “I Wouldn’t Worry” her debut EP which featured 3 songs and musical cameos by guest musicians including Gabby La La and local beat boxing legend, Infinite. Her second release, “Lark After Dark” was a live ukulele album featuring the sex-positive songs she had written for Bawdy Storytelling. Prompted by a request from Dan Savage, she released “Hung For The Holidays” in November 2014, a Holiday album featuring originals and parodies. She was featured as a musical guest on The Savage Lovecast in October and again as part of Dan Savage’s live Christmas show: “Is Christmas Sexy?”
Karl Hess is a person & stand-up comedian & writer who lives in Los Angeles. He enjoys tacos and leisure.
He has performed at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, SXSW, San Francisco Sketchfest, The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta at which he was a finalist, HellYes Fest in Austin & New Orleans, and numerous others whose inclusion might render this biographical blurb unwieldy and verbose. He has been featured on Tru TV’s “World’s Dumbest..”, FUSE, written for MTV, and he plays regularly at the top shows in LA, as well as colleges and clubs across the nation.
A San Jose native and a fan favorite, Sean McKenzie is a rising star in the Bay Area comedy scene.
