The Mission Position is a popular independent comedy showcase, hosted by four of San Francisco’s most accomplished comedians – Matt Lieb, Kate Willett, Trevor Hill and Jessica Sele. Every Thursday, audiences fill Lost Weekend Video’s famous CineCave comedy den, for a show that provides club-level talent without irritating drink minimums or filler comics. The Mission Position welcomes a new lineup of special guests every week that include the Bay Area’s brightest comics alongside nationally touring headliners from NBC, TBS, E! and Comedy Central.

“The next great San Francisco comedy tradition.” –Courting Comedy
Ronn Vigh’s brash attitude and acerbic wit have earned him a comparison to a young Joan Rivers by SF Weekly. Which is a fitting comparison, since he later became a writer for E! Television’s “Fashion Police” co-hosted by Joan Rivers.
He was featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing II and in 2005 started comedy night at Harvey’s and currently produces the successful “Harvey’s Funny Tuesdays” weekly comedy show in the Castro District of San Francisco. Ronn recently headlined Reno Pride and has also been featured at the10th Annual Michigan ComedyFest, Rooftop Comedy’s Out Loud Festival, Las Vegas Out Q Festival, Lake Tahoe Gay & Lesbian WinterFest, San Francisco Comedy & Burrito Festival, Palm Springs Pride and the list goes on and on and on—much like when Ronn speaks. He is also a favorite at comedy clubs, including SF Punchline, Cobb’s, San Jose Improv, Rooster T. Feathers and has recently opened for notable acts such as James Adomian, Wendy Liebman, Loni Love, Scott Thompson of Kids In The Hall and many more.
Jules Posner is like if the cool older kid who used to buy you beer ended up becoming a comedian instead of a meth dealer. The most relaxed man in California, Jules mixes laid-back observations, laid-back riffing and laid-back flannel shirts into an act that has won him constant bookings at every major comedy club in the Bay Area. He is one of those comics whose writing and delivery make standup seem like it’s just a funny person talking off the top of their head, and reality isn’t far behind the illusion, his riffing pacing his written material in quality.
Jules has been featured on Jokes.com’s No Drink Minimum and Rooftopcomedy.com’s Road Trip on Hulu. He has also performed at SF Sketchfest four years in a row and was named “not a poser” by Skateboard Magazine’s “are you a poser” quiz. When he’s not doing comedy, Jules enjoys keeping it real.
Scott Simpson once came back to the U.S. from Japan by boat, lying to his girlfriend that it was for the adventure when really it was because he was afraid of flying. He’s now a full-time comedian and writer who has performed at SF Sketchfest, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and the North American Comedy and Music Festival. He makes jokes on Twitter as @scottsimpson, and his show “You Look Nice Today” has received the Podcast Award for Best Comedy Podcast. He also has a website, fully loaded with what you would expect to find on a modern website.
Ahamed Weinberg is a hilarious Los Angeles-based comedian. He’ll be in San Francisco all week and he’s bringing his unique brand of humor along with him. Holla.
