Natasha Muse is a comedian, a skeptic, a mom, and at least the second-funniest transsexual you know. Her cerebral writing, whimsical wordplay, and unique perspective on life have earned her the adoration of audiences and the respect of her peers. Natasha performs regularly all over the Bay Area, including Cobb’s Comedy, the SF Punchline, and the Actors’ Theatre, where she produces and hosts “A Funny Night for Comedy” on the second Sunday of every month. Natasha is the winner of the 2010 Battle of the Bay competition, Miss Toolbox 2011, and also took home the Miss Photogenic trophy in Model Search 2004.
Growing up in San Jose, CA, Red Scott never saw things the same way as other kids; he thought he was cool. Born in the early 80s, he established himself as a trend-setter — fat, asthmatic, and socially inept years before Asperger’s was a syndrome or obesity an epidemic. On his way to finding the stage, Red had several diversions, ranging from working as a Software Developer to delivering for Pizza Hut in South Central Los Angeles. Red combines obscure and outdated references with the crazed insistence of a mental patient. His act encompasses everything from politics to absurdism to wordplay, all combined with deft crowd work.
When not on stage, Red explores the myriad of ways an individual can be indoors and fully protected from the sun. His podcast discussing Game of Thrones, “Boars, Gore, and Swords” has twice been featured on BoingBoing. He’s performed in SF Sketchfest 2011-2013 and is a regular at The San Francisco Punch Line, The San Jose Improv, Rooster T Feathers, as well as the usual dive bars and laundromats.
Joey Devine is from the San Francisco Bay Area. He is the the head writer for Yahoo.com’s “Broken News Daily,” and you may recognize him from a McDonald’s commercial that airs on IFC during Portlandia reruns sometimes. If you’ve ever been to the San Francisco Punchline, Cobb’s Comedy Club, or his weekly show “Move Along Nothing To See Here: A Free Comedy Show” at The Night Light in Oakland, you might have seen him do stand up before. He’s pretty good at it or whatever.
