Thursday 8/7: Headliner Aparna Nancherla
Aparna Nancherla, David Venhuizen, Kevin O’Shea, Cameron Vannini & Tim Young will be joining us this week. Tickets are $10 and can be reserved in advance by calling Lost Weekend Video at (415) 643-3373. The show will begin at 8pm.
Tickets can also be purchased online through Eventbrite.
Aparna Nancherla has an intimidating name, but don’t be scared! She’s a joke entrepreneur who pedals in both writing and performance (AKA scribble-scrabble and jibber-jabber). In fact, she most recently wrote for and sometimes appeared on the late, great Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, on FX-then-FXX.
Her artistic journey took off in Washington D.C. (it’s all about the Washingtons), but she now resides in the biggest apple in the gosh darn world.
Aparna’s comedic goggles are dry and observational, and her act is sprinkled with absurdist wit and a whimsical point-of-view.

David Venhuizen is a comedian and writer who lives in Los Angeles. He is a member of the Fringe Riders who put on the “Stampede”: a wild-west comedy revue which features some of the nation’s top comics.
Established in 1984 following the mergers of Steven and Cathy O’Shea, Kevin O’Shea has been one of San Francisco’s leading manufactures of mirth, laughter, hilarity and all around good times! Kevin has been commonly described as clever, absurd, awkward but in a funny way and too smart for his own good. He has been seen on the Independent Film Chanel and ComedyCentral.com. He was featured as one of the “30 Under 30: Comedians You Should Watch” by Splashlife and Funny or Die. He is a favorite of comedy festivals such as: SF Sketchfest, The Burrito and Comedy Festival, Out of Bounds, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. Go see him now as his 4th quarter productivity has never been higher.
Cameron Vannini is a young, up and coming San Francisco based comedian. His sarcastic sense of humor and hilarious ability to share and examine his real life experiences, makes him a favorite in the bay area by both audiences & fellow comics alike. Having performed all over the country, Cameron is a regular at both the San Francisco Punch Line & Cobb’s Comedy Club. He has also graced the stage at venues such as The Comedy Store & The San Jose Improv. Cameron has also had the honor of being a selected performer in numerous comedy festivals including SF Sketchfest, SXSW, The Sacramento Comedy Festival, and The San Francisco International Comedy Competition..
Tim Young is a hilarious, up-and-coming San Francisco-based comedian. He’s literally young and literally Tim. To know him is to love him, or at least like him a lot.
